Approximately 25m2 of lead grey Sarnafil single ply membrane was installed over a courtyard area on an 18th century listed building in Warwickshire. An old polycarbonate roof was removed and the new roof installed by SDH Advanced Developments Ltd, who are members of the Roof Assured by Sarnafil network of approved installers.
The old courtyard seating area has now been converted into an additional living space with the new insulated warm roof construction finished with the aesthetic pleasing, high performance, fleece back, Sarnafil membrane. This means the newly created room will be warmer and protected from the elements for many years to come.
The homeowner runs an interior design company throughout the West Midlands and London so it was very important the new roof would not only look good and perform well but also retain the integrity of this lovely old building. Having seen other projects completed by SDH Advanced Developments and listened to recommendations she selected the Sarnafil flat roofing solution.
The project was visited by the local Conservation Officer to ensure that the works complied with heritage and listed building regulations. The Sarnafil single ply membrane is becoming increasingly popular as a modern, high performance alternative to traditional metals which can be expensive and difficult to install.
