Heritage home benefits from a new flat roof

An old polycarbonate roof was removed and a new roof installed over a courtyard area on an 18th century listed building in Warwickshire.

The old courtyard seating area has now been converted into an additional living space with the new insulated warm roof construction finished with the aesthetic pleasing, high performance, single ply membrane. This means the newly created room will be warmer and protected from the elements for many years to come.

The homeowner runs an interior design company throughout the West Midlands and London so it was very important the new roof would not only look good and perform well but also retain the integrity of this lovely old building.

The project was visited by the local Conservation Officer to ensure that the works complied with heritage and listed building regulations. A single ply membrane roofingn solution is becoming increasingly popular as a modern, high performance alternative to traditional metals which can be expensive and difficult to install.
