The Sika Roof Assured, single ply, Sarnafil roofing membrane has been installed on a re-modelled 1960’s home in Beaulieu, Hampshire. The 300m2 single ply membrane, with standing seam detail, was completed by Volsen Limited a Sika Roof Assured registered installer based in Bournemouth.
The property is located on a private estate in a picturesque spot overlooking the Beaulieu River and has been remodelled by the owner, from its original 1960’s shell, to create a contemporary style family home.
The owner, an architectural engineer, was very clear that for such a prestigious project, where looks and performance were key, he wanted the technical and aesthetic properties of the Sarnafil roofing membrane.
Jordan Dearlove, director Volsen Limited said: “It’s all about doing the job properly, choosing the right products, the right team and giving the client peace of mind. Many of our projects are very high value properties and our reputation has been built on the quality of our installations. The Sarnafil membrane is the very best that we can give to our customers. For the project we also used the Sika Roof Assured insulation which means that both this and the roofing membrane are covered by the Sarnafil 15 year single point guarantee.”
Sustainability and environmental credentials were also important and all Sarnafil products make the minimal possible impact on the environment. Products are manufactured in Switzerland to ISO 14001, the International Environmental Production standard. The long life of the membrane, independently assessed to have life expectancy in excess of 40 years, helps to waterproof the insulation and makes a large contribution to the energy saving of the building.
A contemporary roof for a forward looking home in a classic location.
